PolyVoid Experience

The PolyVoid team have all covered every corner of Residential Concreting. Combined, they have over 60 years of experience in the industry.

Mark Armstrong

Mark has a vast array of experience across structural design, reinforcing steel, civil contracting and steel screw piling.

Brett Rooney

Brett has been involved in the building and concreting industry for over 35 years.

He is currently the owner of Lock-up Concreting, a business that was established in 1997 and predominantly trades with the domestic housing sector.

Brett has worked for many years on developing the PolyVoid based suspended slab system together with one of the leading Residential Engineering firms on the East Coast of Australia. Brett's profound understanding of on-site concreting practises ensured that the design was practical in its application so that any change from current methods was minimised.

Given that Brett was one of the 'pioneers' of waffle-pod construction, he has a profound understanding of how the building market responds to changes of significance. Brett's input has therefore been instrumental in helping guide PolyVoid's activities in the introduction of our new system.

Jim Prior

Jim has 20 years of experience in the Residential Building Market.

Jim was the NSW Regional Manager for ARC (formerly Smorgon Steel and now owned by OneSteel) where he managed the NSW/ACT ARC Service Centre Network. Whilst Jim's role covered everything from OH&S to manufacturing and logistics, he was instrumental in the establishment of a highly regarded service offer for the Residential Home Building market in his Sales & Marketing capacity. During this time, Jim formed many strong relationships with builders, concretors and reinforcing resellers across the state, all of which whom he hopes to add to the current list of PolyVoid success stories.

Jim is now the Managing Director of Katana Foundations Pty Ltd, a recently formed business providing superior screw piling supply and installations across the eastern seaboard of Australia. Katana Foundations is taking the PolyVoid Slab System to its customers in all regions that experience reactive soils.
